Luke 15:4–7 — Jesus tells the parable of the shepherd who leaves the ninety-nine sheep to search for the one that is lost, and rejoices when he finds it. The idea of the verse is that God searches for the one who has wandered with love, and brings them home with joy, not condemnation.
"He left the 99 to find me" speaks about a personal God. You aren't a number in a crowd, nor a loss overlooked. To Him, the one who is lost is worth searching for, carrying on His shoulders, and welcoming with love.
